Tool Library
Borrow What You Need, Share What You Can.
Our Tool Library lends tools free for construction, repairs and creative projects, from hammers to circular saws. It is open to all workers, organizers and DIYers in New Mexico. Some tools need a short safety training first.
How to borrow
Borrowing is free. It takes four steps, and you only do the first two once.
Step 1: Visit the library desk
- Come to an open session. The library desk is staffed by volunteers, and the sessions are listed on the Volunteer Access Portal.
- A volunteer will help you sign up and give you a member card.
Step 2: Sign up and sign the release
- Fill out Member sign-up with your name and contact details.
- Read and sign the volunteer release.
- Both take a few minutes and only need doing once.
Step 3: Borrow the tool
- The volunteer scans your card and each tool, and you agree a return date. Tools are usually due back in 14 days.
- Some tools need a short safety training first. They are marked Training needed in our inventory.
Step 4: Return it on time
- Bring the tool back to the desk by the return date. We email a reminder before it is due.
- If something breaks or goes missing, tell us right away so we can fix the record and repair the tool.

Materials Bank
Reduce Waste, Build Community
Our Materials Bank collects donated lumber, hardware, and other supplies to redistribute for our community’s projects. Need materials for a repair, art piece, or fixing your neighbor’s fence? Take what you need, and donate what you can spare to keep it going.
Public Shop
Build, Repair, and Create Collaboratively.
Our community workshop has tools, safety gear and workbenches for you to work on-site. We do not keep regular hours yet, so contact us first and we will find a time. Some jobs do not have to be done at your home, and some just need a safe workspace.

The library desk is open during the sessions below, and volunteers staff it. Come by during one, or ask us about a time that suits you.
